I too am having a similar year. I so agree with you that although the children are capable of the intense work we are pushing on them - that it is coming at a price. Our society has eliminated the value of play and allowing children to have a childhood. I'm afraid we will pay dearly for this as they grow up. Your children are so lucky to have you as their teacher.
