I Need A Reason To Sing

My phone rang at 8:31 this morning and I let it go to voice mail.
Seeing my principal's name on caller ID,
I thought, "I can't hear this.  Not yet."

Exactly four hours later, I listened to the message and discovered
our school is officially closed.
I am a teacher without a class.

I need a reason to sing.

  3. I am so sad to hear this. I have not been on here in a long time and now I am so unhappy that you are dealing with such difficult news. Something will come along soon. Keep in touch and you will be in my thoughts. Come to LA so I can hug you in person. I will do a better job of staying in touch.
Much love and a virtual hug,
    Fran

  4. Oh, Chrissy! I'm so sorry you had to hear that. It sounds like you must have been anxious to have avoided the call, which makes it even harder. :( I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason. I will pray for you to find a new classroom that will open up all kinds of new opportunities for you to show just how much you care about kids and allow you to exhibit your desire and love for teaching. Hang in there, girly! You are too wonderful for someone not to notice!

  8. So sorry. This seems to be happening everywhere. We closed 10 schools in our district and it's just awful. I'll be praying for you and hoping you will find a new class!!

  9. Bless your heart! Last summer I didn't know if my school would be open or closed for the fall, but I knew I still had a job. Hang in there, it will work out.
