Saturday Sayings~You...

While reading "How To Eat A Cupcake"
(a yummy novel by Meg Donohue),
I froze as I read this sentence.
The past few weeks have been stressful, in regards to the future.   I've swung between excitedly prepping for school and
wrapping myself in a blanket of reality tv.
There is the doing and the avoiding.
And the praying.

No matter what, my attitude will frame the coming days.
I am responsible for my own experience.
If my class is small, I can choose to embrace a new adventure or I can lament the sibling-like atmosphere.  If my paycheck is sketchy, I can rehearse the what-ifs on an endless loop or I can thank God everyday that I get paid to do something I love.

This saying is my mantra for the new school year.
Save.  Print.  Frame.

  1. Thanks for joining me today Chrissy. My pastor recently shared about the what-if's. We seem to be great at catastrophizing and imagining the negative what-if's. He challenged us to imagine the positive what-if's. Thank you for sharing from your heart.

  2. I love this saying. I'm big on mantras, they really keep me calm. I'm big on reality tv too, but you already knew that Dance Moms friend, lol!!!

  8. I love this! I had a challenging student last year whom I loved. I was hoping to have him again this year but have switched grade levels. My mantra to him was - "You choose your attitude!" I like your saying and may have to make him a little desk note to remind him about choices and let him know I am still watching over him.
